So we’ve taken a year off and plan to do some cycling. We gave up moorage in Vancouver to live on Ian’s boat Green Pointe at anchor until end of August 2012. We plan to cycle tour until August 2013.
Our itinerary is loose as we believe that part of the beauty of travelling by bike is the spontaneity it affords.
The current plan is to haul the boat out of the water in Lund, B.C. and begin to cycle south to San Francisco. Then fly to Hanoi Vietnam and cycle to Bangkok passing through Laos. Next we fly to India and cycle in Rajasthan. Finally we fly to Turkey and cycle through the Greek Islands, Italy and end in France. We expect to cycle approximately 6000 km.
